Highly trained BrightHouse advocates offer confidential emotional support to anyone whose life has been affected by sexual assault or domestic violence. All services are confidential and free of charge.
VICTIM ASSISTANCE SERVICES
Navigating the legal and medical system while dealing with a crisis such as abuse can be daunting. Our team accompanies and supports victims through medical exams, police questioning, and court appearances – helping to advocate for their rights and guide them through the complicated process. Assistance is also provided in filing protection-from-abuse or stalking orders and victim compensation claims.
We understand one of the many challenges survivors of abuse face is finding shelter for themselves and their children. At BrightHouse, we provide safe and clean housing to victims and their children, with 24 hour support. Our house is stocked with clothing and supplies for both adults and children who may have needed to leave all of their belongings to find safety.
As part of our mission to end abuse, BrightHouse provides presentations on issues of domestic violence and sexual assault. Other topics include healthy/unhealthy relationships, dating relationships, child sexual abuse, spiritual/emotional effects of violence and power/control issues. Please consider us for your next community outreach event.
We provide a caring environment for addressing personal issues for victims of sexual assault, domestic violence and their children.
