All services are free, confidential and voluntary.


Our Advocates will provide support and personalized plans for your specific situation. Whether the abuse is physical, sexual, or psychological, we can help you figure out the best and safest ways to deal with it and help you find a better way to live.


All kinds of people can be victims of abuse and we will show you what you need to do to survive and learn to thrive. We can help with safe shelter, medical services, financial aid, legal and court support and counseling services. BrightHouse offers support groups and someone to talk to.


We can help you and your family take those important first steps to a safe and peaceful life.


We hav e offices in Hutchinson, Lyons and Kingman, Kansas.


We can help with pets now – if you are in an abusive situation and you can’t get away because of concerns about your pet, BrightHouse has resources to help you and your animal find safety.


BrightHouse helped 728 survivors in 2021 and provided more than 6300 total services.


We had 61 people in shelter, including 20 kids, for a total of more than 1100 nights.


¼ of all homicides in the united states are the result of domestic violence


When a domestic partner has access to a firearm a partner is 5 times as likely to be killed in the 3 years leading up to an intimate partner homicide, police have visited an average of 6 times.


3 out of 4 women murdered by a partner are stalked first – BrightHouse gives out dozens of cameras a year to battle stalking.
